Honest Food. Exceptional Taste. Rooted in Heritage.
We’re thrilled to welcome you to our beautifully revamped restaurant located on our farm in the picturesque Durbanville Wine Valley. Here, history and modernity intertwine to bring you an authentic and relaxed culinary experience that celebrates hearty farm-style cuisine with a nod to Cape heritage in a gesellige atmosphere.
Situated in our farm’s historic stable that dates as far back as 1767, the space abounds with original features like the cobble stone floor and wooden troughs that seamlessly complement contemporary, comfortable furniture, while historic photographs and custom blue Dutch tiles adorn thick centuries-old walls.
Meals are also served outdoors on the grassed terrace, offering a spectacular view of the Boland Mountains and surrounded by a charming garden
Generosity defines the dining experience here. It’s the perfect setting for a leisurely family-style breakfast or lunch on a long weekend, or a quick mid-week treat.
Our Food
From Our Soil to Your Plate
Our menu is crafted with intention and inspired by the changing seasons. Much of what we serve is grown, raised, or produced on the estate or sourced from neighbouring farms. This ensures every plate carries the richness and freshness of the Cape countryside.

A Contemporary Take on Heritage Cuisine
Our chefs draw from South African culinary heritage, adding a modern touch that surprises and delights. Expect hearty favourites elevated with seasonal flair, artisanal technique, and creative presentation.

The Team
Our Culinary Team
Behind each dish is a team dedicated to excellence, from garden to kitchen. Led by our head chef, the team combines experience, innovation, and respect for ingredients to create meals that are memorable and meaningful.
From Our Soil to Your Plate
You’re in for an absolute treat when it comes to our delectable desserts. Select between milk chocolate cremeux with preserved ginger, honeycomb and vanilla ice cream; strawberry pavlova with Chantilly cream and strawberry sorbet; Cape date & brandy pudding with pecan nuts and vanilla ice cream; and an assortment of top-quality local cheeses with homemade preserves and fresh fruit.
A delightful kids’ menu is also available.

Exclusive Dining in the Fowl-House
At the rear of our restaurant, a former fowl-house (fascinating to see!) offers an ideal space for private tastings, lunches, or dinners, accommodating approximately 12 guests at a time.
