A visit to our working farm, one of the oldest in the Durbanville Wine Valley, dating to 1698, is an experience in itself. Driving up the winding road to the tasting room and restaurant (aka the “family farmstead”), you’ll see lush vineyards interspersed with expansive wheatfields, along with flocks of sheep, herds of cattle, and wildlife including buffalo, eland, springbok, red hartebeest, kudu, and fallow deer. The Brinks also cultivate legumes, lucerne, canola, barley, and oats. Groot Phesantekraal embodies a true working farm in every sense of the word!
Expect warm welcomes and genuine smiles as you step into our tasting room. Our friendly ambassadors are passionate about every visit, eager to share not just our diverse range of cool climate wines, but also their expertise. Many are actively pursuing their WSET certifications, demonstrating their dedication to wine and service.
The Groot Phesantekraal collection of wines, the result of the passion and expertise of our young winemaker, Richard Schroeder, includes award-winners like our Anna de Koning Reserve Chenin Blanc, our Berlier Limited Release Pinotage or our ever-popular estate Cabernet Sauvignon. In our inviting and relaxing tasting room, guests can indulge in delectable wood-fired flatbreads adorned with a variety of farm-fresh ingredients, or enjoy platters overflowing with locally-sourced cheeses, charcuterie, olives, fruits, freshly-baked breads, and homemade butter.

Additionally, we offer free delivery to all major centres in South Africa for orders of R2 000 or 18 bottles or more.
